He measures 17 3/4" to the top of the star and 14 1/2" to the top of Santa's head. This Victorian Santa character doll was created in 1994 and is a numbered (733 of 2000) limited edition created by Robert and Jan Simpich. This item is pre-owned, in excellent condition but WITHOUT the original box. He is from a non-smoking home. Backstory: This beautiful Santa design was initially introduced in 1993, Simpich's first Victorian Santa and he is a limited edition.Santa is dressed in ruby velvet with white fur trim and a sparkling brocade lining and heavy boots. He is posed as if presenting an antique doll to a child. He has a black bag on his back filled with antique toys and greenery. These dolls are highly sought after and very collectible but are becoming more rare as the family no longer creates the dolls or maintain an inventory.
