Founded in 1952 by Bob and Jan Simpich, Simpich Character Dolls Ltd. created iconic Americana-style figurine dolls including carolers, angels, Santas and even storybook figures like Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn. Jan and Bob retired in 2006, closing down the business in 2007.The Lamplighter is part of the Carolers series. He is holding the lamp-lighting pole.
